Accomplishments

Through my life I have accomplished many small personal feats, maybe they didn’t make a change in the world but they did make a change in me. I can feel pride in what I have accomplished, though small, in my life. When I was younger I got into my school's GATE Program ( Gifted and Talented Education) which surprised me the most because I have always been slower at learning things than the other kids in my school. So I felt proud when I got into that program. Around %th grade I was chosen to be in the National Honor Society along with some of my other peers. They held a ceremony and everything, which I had to quickly change in the bathrooms for. But they gave us certificates and medals to commemorate us. In Elementary, I was a consecutive recipient of Honor roll which mena I accomplish getting good grades all throughout my years. I was also one of the top 5 in a video category for the SEVA awards for an animation video I did along with another student. When I was younger I also wrote a lot of poems of some sorts, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. But it landed me a spot in an Advanced English class in Middle school.

In middle school I didn’t really do much. When I was half way through my seventh grade year covid had hit and we we’re told we would go through quarantine for about a week, but weeks turned into months and I hadn’t finished my seventh grade year, however everyone had passed to 8th grade anyways. During 8th grade online school I was constantly keeping up with my grades in classes so one of my periods switched and I got to be a T.A., but they didn’t really have us do anything except check in for attendance. So I got an Hour and a half to take a nap, eat, or watch TV. But during my 8th grade promotion drive, I received a presidential award in my manila folder that held my certificates and other awards we had won throughout the year.

In Highschool we don’t really receive awards anymore but I didn't end up getting on Honor roll so I did receive something from that. My old school did something for Honor Roll Students that was called Renaissance in which we got food other than the school lunch provided. Something else I accomplished was getting into my school’s student body. Even though it is an elective they are very selective for who they choose and make everyone write a resume of some sorts. Meaning not everyone gets in. Something else I accomplished in High School was getting my college credits for World History. During my sophomore year, I did Ap World history, which was a lot of work on my part. We learned how to write LEQ’s, DBQ’s, and SAQs as well as took many 55 question tests . And we also did timed assignments, wrote down many notes, and overall did alot for that class. However it was worth it in the end because I ended up passing the AP exam, with a score of 4 out of 5.
