Autobiography

What sports did I do?

Soccer

I played soccer briefly for one year when I was in Kindergarten. I played for a small soccer club called the Yellowjackets. I had gone almost every day to practice with my teammates and eventually compete in local tournaments. My family would come over to watch, convince me to run each time I was at an event. Looking back, I didn’t realize the competition that had come over me.

Martial Arts

I later joined Karate. The aforementioned practice of martial arts was something I was most dedicated to. I had learned several martial arts and their disciplines that were entirely different from one another. My time there included a great sense of learning from instructors and students alike. I was taught various forms of ways to discipline myself in the martial arts and in real life as well. I had spent eight years training for my first degree black belt to which I then had left to focus more on my academics. I still train to this day.

Cross Country and Track

In high school, I participated in the Cross Country and Track team. Initially, I had wanted to do wrestling, but due to the vigorous training and intensity of the sport, my dad, who was a wrestler before me, had become deeply worried about my safety. Nonetheless, I persisted in a sport that I knew was my strength and had improved my well-being and health overall.
