Goals

Overview:

  1. Self-Growth:
  2. As the years go on, I yearn to ascend myself in the world of self-improvement. I'll conquer the rocky, craggy cliffs of procrasination, rappelling down deadlines with goals in mind and focus on that with discipline. Meditation will be a huge factor and it will allow me to navigate the treacherous terrain of inner turmoil and emerge with a clearer perspective. Each conquered habit, each mastered skill, will becom ea summit flag planted produly on the path of personal evolution. Imagine yourself wielding a sturdy grappling hook that is forged from the steel of consistent action. With each small task you complete, you chip away at the mountan and inch closer to the summit. Time-blocking becomes your anchor, securing your grip on the present moment and preventing you from dangling in the abyss of wasted time. But brute force alone won't suffice. The sherpa of focused attention, clad in the armor of mindfulness, guides your gaze towards the summit. Meditation equips you with the mental muscles to resist distractions and stay extremely focused on your goals. Breathe deeply, clear your mind, and let the present moment be your compass. It is from this imagination and these aspects that I will forge my future and put my goal of self-improvement forward.

  3. Build More Connections:
  4. I desire to have as much relations to people as possible as I want to meet more and new people. To do this I need to follow some steps. I must give my full attention putting away disractions, maintaining eye contact, and truly listen to the speaker's words and emotions. I have to seek clarification and ask open-ended questions to understand their perspective, not just confirming my own. I have to put away my judgement and avoid interrupting or pre-conceived notions. I have to give them the space to share their story on their terms. I also have to cultivate empathy, beyond sympathy. Seeing the world through others' eyes, I must consider their background, experiences and values to understand their motivations. Acknowledging their feelings is essential as I must validate their emotions even if I disagree with their opinions. When they are in trouble, I must offer support and understanding. I have to show them that I care about their perspective and well-being. I also have to bridge the gap with respectiful communication by expressing my own opinions and views while avoiding jargon or overly technical language to confused them. Touching on that, I have to focus on common ground and find shared values or experiences that I can build upon and relate to them. Listening to their responses and being open to revising my own views based on their perspective is important as well. Along with engaging in respectful disagreement. If they are wrong or share a differing opinion, acknowledge their points without resorting to personal attacks or defensiveness. With all of these points in mind, I will be on track with completing my goal.
